Curiouser and Curiouser!

Hey, everyone!

Every once in a while I feel really inspired by whimsy. This manicure is the result of one of those times! Keep reading to find out more!

When MoYou London recently came out with their Alice collection, inspired by Alice in Wonderland, I knew I had to pick up at least one of the plates! Even though all of the plates are really gorgeous, I ended up deciding on one that had a little bit of everything on it. Plate #4 (found here) has flamingos, cards, tea time things, chess pieces, rabbits, keys, Mad Hatter hats, bows, Eat Me and Drink Me images, and more! I absolutely love it!

I tried to get a little bit of everything Wonderland into this mani, and I'm really pleased with how it turned out. On my thumb (pictured below), I started with a white base and stamped little Drink Me bottles using OPI Can't Find My Czechbook. I removed a few of the bottles towards the tip before stamping so it almost looks like a little bottle gradient. On my index I started with a white base and stamped flamingos using Sinful Colors Dream On, which dries SUPER fast when stamping so I had to move really fast! On my middle I stamped with black over a white base using the playing cards design. On my ring finger I started with a white base and over it I used two thin coats of Blackheart Beauty Major Ranger, a glow-in-the-dark (GITD) polish. Then I stamped over it using Dream On and the Cheshire Cat smiles. On my pinky I stamped over a base of Can't Find My Czechbook using white polish and a heart filigree design.

And I actually managed to get a decent GITD pic of the Cheshire smiles! It took a ridiculous amount of time, though, because A) I have a crummy camera and B) this GITD polish only holds its charge for like 10 seconds TOPS, even after charging it with a blacklight for like a minute. I guess I need to get a better GITD polish (Serum No. 5, you WILL be mine!).

And just for kicks, here's the opening for Adventures in Wonderland, which I used to watch a lot as a kid! Oh, the memories...
