Some AMAZING News!

Hey, everyone!

I'm sure most of you are wondering why I'm posting on a Wednesday rather than my typical Tuesday and Thursday schedule. Well, something absolutely wonderful happened today - I got a job! Not only that, but it's my first ever full-time job! I have been going through the interview and application process for a while now, and I am very pleased to say that I will be a Quality Control Lab Assistant for Sunsweet starting next Tuesday!

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Sunsweet, it's a grower-owned dryer/manufacturer/packager of dried fruits, nuts, and some juices. But mainly they're famous for their prunes and prune juice! I know, prunes aren't exactly tasty in most people's opinions, but to each his/her own! Basically I will be working both on the production floor and in a lab making sure that all products are within the specific parameters for food safety and regulations and all that good stuff. At last, a chance to use my chemistry degree!!!

Now along with this great news comes some that some of you might not like, unfortunately. Because I will be working in a food production environment, I won't be allowed to wear nail polish since there's always the risk it might chip off. I don't think anybody wants to eat a glittery prune! And most likely, at least in the beginning, I'll be working afternoon/swing shift. This means that I will no longer be posting two times a week like I've been doing. BUT I will try my best to get a chance to do my nails on the weekend so I will hopefully be able to post at least once a week, probably on Wednesdays. So fear not! I will not abandon my hobby or my readers - I simply have to prioritize! I guess that's one of the things that comes with adulthood, right? RESPONSIBILITY! Yaaaay~~

So for those of you who know me personally, thank you for supporting me up to this point. And to the rest of you, don't leave me! I promise I'm not actually going anywhere!

Anyway, that's all for now. I'll still post a mani tomorrow, I'm sure, and I have some scheduled for a while so all is good! Thanks for stopping by!

Kaleidoscopic Leadlight Rainbow Awesomeness!

Hey, everyone!

I've been meaning to try the leadlight technique again for a while. My last attempt was not quite to my satisfaction... I didn't make my sheer polish quite sheer enough, alas. But this attempt is MUCH better, I think! Keep reading to find out more!
