Elegant Nails for Gramma!

Hey, everyone!

So last week I spent a few nights with my maternal grandma just to hang out because we don't do it very often. We had fun doing nails, peel off facials, and just relaxing! Keep reading to find out more!

My grandma doesn't usually go for bright, non-neutral colors when it comes to polish. In fact, I think she only has one bottle of polish and it's a really pretty rose color. So I tried to pick some colors that would look wintry together but not too out-there.

After I filed her nails and pushed back her cuticles and applied a base coat, I started the design with two coats of OPI Planks a Lot, a pretty dusty lavender creme. Next, I applied a coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust to give it a little sparkle. Then, I stamped with OPI Casino Royale (which is AMAZING for stamping, for the record) using Messy Mansion stamping plate MM16. Finally I sealed it all in with top coat. I can't tell you how much I love the way this turned out, and my gramma really loved them too! We both especially liked how the sparkles of Fairy Dust kind of peek through the negative space of the stamped image. So gorgeous! And I'm definitely going to have to remember this layering combo!

I had so much fun hanging out with my gramma, I'm definitely going to have to do it again soon! Thanks for stopping by!
