Falling for Fall

Hey, everyone!

Thankfully it seems like the colder weather is finally here to stay for the season in Northern California! So I really felt like doing some ultimate fall nails to celebrate. Keep on reading to find out how I got this beautiful design!

After wearing Polished by KPT Dichromate by itself for a few days, I was inspired by the yellow-to-orange gradient it kept producing. So I knew I wanted to recreate it but a little more vividly. I started off with one coat of H&M Nail Polish Rising Sun, a nice shimmery yellow. Then, using a makeup sponge, I created a gradient of Rising Sun  and China Glaze Cross Iron 360. It took maybe three layers or so to get the amount of color that I wanted. On my ring finger I painted two coats of OPI German-icure.

After all my nails were dry, I used Sinful Colors Rich in Heart (a darker version of German-icure) to stamp a gorgeous oak leaf and acorn design from Messy Mansion plate MM16 over my gradient. Then I used some small gold studs from Born Pretty Store on my ring finger to complete the look. I really really love the way this mani turned out! It just seems to scream "FALL IS FINALLY HERE, HALLELUJAH!"

By the way, I've been playing around with lighting, camera settings, and editing lately. Now my polish and skin tone are a LOT more color accurate! Still some fiddling to do, but trust me, it's better and more accurate than it used to be. Thanks for stopping by!
