I have another Born Pretty Store item review to share with you today! As soon as I saw this new product, I simply had to review it! Keep reading to find out my thoughts on it!
I'm a sucker for geometric patterns. And when I see a stamping plate that has geometric patterns, I think to myself "This will save me so much time and sanity!" Because let's face it, straight lines are hard to put onto a curved nail! So I was very eager to try this gorgeous new plate from Born Pretty Store.
This is stamping plate BP-L054, and it's available HERE for currently $2.39 (normally $5.99). As you can hopefully see, there are 20 beautiful geometric designs to choose from on this plate. I like that there is a good range of sizes, from full coverage to smaller individual images. The possibilities with these are truly endless! Below you can see just how well these stamp - so clear and lovely!
The first mani I made with this plate wasn't really planned... I was just messing around and decided I loved the outcome! I started with two coats of Forever 21 Honetdew on all of my nails. While that was drying, I applied liquid latex around all of my nails as well. As soon as that was dry, I did some stamper marbling with Honeydew, A England St. George, and Sally Hansen Minted Metal. I smoothed them all out with a quick coat of Wet n Wild Clear, then stamped one of the designs from the plate using white polish and a clear stamper onto my thumb, index, and ring fingers. After removing the liquid latex, I did some minimal cleanup and topped with Seche Vite as always.
It turns out that it's pretty tricky to keep straight lines straight when stamping them onto your nails, but overall these stamped amazingly. My thumb was definitely the best outcome, I think. It was practically perfectly centered, and everything was nice and straight. If only my stamping could be like this every time!
