Now that summer weather is in full swing here in Northern California, I was really looking forward to this month's Hobby Polish Bloggers link-up! By popular vote, the theme for the month of June was chosen to be "beach," to be interpreted however each person wants. Keep reading to find out more!
Hobby Polish Bloggers is such an amazing group! So many knowledgeable ladies all in one place, helping each other and giving and receiving advice. It's like a treasure trove of nail-related wisdom! Plus everyone is super sweet and funny, so that's a plus too!
This month's theme gave me the perfect opportunity to use some more unused stamping plates from my Bundle Monster Sunkissed collection! After applying a base coat, I used the stamper marble technique and three polishes to make a watery-oceany effect on my thumb, index, middle, and part of my ring finger. Those three polishes were Kleancolor Pastel Teal, Ulta Jet Lag, and OPI Can't Find My Czechbook. Oh, and I had used liquid latex to mask my cuticles and the upper diagonal half of my ring finger. Before I removed the liquid latex, I stamped in white with images from BM-504 and BM-509. Then I removed the liquid latex with tweezers and painted the upper half of my ring finger and my pink with two coats of OPI My Vampire is Buff. When that was dry, I stamped with Ulta Sun of a Gun and BM-503 to put some starfish on my tiny beach. Finally, after applying a coat of Seche Vite, I topped the beach portion of my nails with my franken texture topcoat, Beached. How perfect, right?!
