Hey, everyone!
I have some new fun items to share with you from Born Pretty Store! First up are these lovely little bee stickers, so keep reading to find out more!
I ended up picking a lot of stickers this time around, since I've never really used nail stickers and wanted to see how they compare to using water decals. The first design that I'll be sharing are these elegant bees and the extra little decor that comes with them. You can find them HERE for currently $1.29 per sheet (normal price $2.09). As you can see, the stickers come in a variety of sizes and there are quite a few on each sheet so you can use them for quite a few manicures!
As soon as I saw these stickers in person I thought they'd go wonderfully with Color Club Oh Deer!. So I started this mani by applying two coats of Oh Deer! on my thumb, index, and ring fingers, and one coat of OPI My Vampire is Buff on my middle and pinky fingers. When the pale polish was done drying I used My Vampire is Buff and Oh Deer! and swirled them together on a stamper head before applying them to my nail. It gave a really nice natural swirly marble effect! When the other nails were fully dry I used my fine point tweezers from Born Pretty Store and peeled a few of the stickers off the sheet and carefully placed them on my nails. I topped them all with topcoat to seal in the beautiful design!
These stickers are really lovely, and I learned a few things about stickers and water decals during the process of using them. First of all, both water decals and stickers tend to have very crisp detailed images, which is fantastic. The main differences I noticed are that water decals are easier to move once you've placed them on the nail (as long as they're still damp), and they come off just like nail polish with acetone and remover. And of course you have to activate them in water in order to use them. Stickers, or at least these ones, are basically stuck where they are when you apply them, basically require no prep to use, and take a little extra effort to remove. But the overall result is the same, and I like using both!
