Special effects nail powders are all the rage right now and this one is incredible! You can purchase it HERE for currently $4.99 per 0.5g container (normally $7.79) or can add $2 for a container with 0.8g. There are a variety of shifts to choose from, and I chose to review option NH02.
I'm not sure what to call this stuff specifically, since the title/description mentions a number of monikers, but I've been calling it Unicorn Powder because it's pretty magical! It shifts according to the light, as well as looking different depending on what color you apply it over. I chose to apply it over a variety of colors to see what kind of range I could get with just one powder.
I started with two thin coats on each nail of the following polishes, from thumb to pinky: Wet n Wild Black Creme, OPI Eurso Euro..., China Glaze West Side Warrior, OPI It's a Piazza Cake, and Wet n Wild French White Creme. I waited until each was COMPLETELY dry (as in, no dents or anything), then applied a thin layer of OneDor No Wipe Top Coat and cured. Next, I used a finger cot (to avoid mess) and gently rubbed the powder onto each nail. After brushing off the excess powder, I applied another layer of gel topcoat to seal it all in.
I honestly can't decide which of these color combos I like the best! It's so opalescent and subtle over white, but so vivid and intense over and of the other colors! This powder is so versatile and I can't wait to use it more in the future!
