Hey, everyone!
Today I've got a mani to share with you that I'm very excited about! A little while ago, I won my very first giveaway on Instagram! It was hosted by @heheplate and the winner(s) received 2 plates from the new Science collection of their choice! Keep reading for all the details!
Being the nerd that I am, I loved pretty much all of the plates in this collection, but I narrowed my choice down to plates hēhē 095 and hēhē 096. I've only used the second one so far, but they both swatched really nicely (and of course I forgot to take pics of swatches for this post... derp).
For my first mani using these plates, I decided to use the image of Marie Curie from hēhē 096 in which she is holding a flask up to the light to better examine its contents (based on this portrait of Marie herself!). I decided to go with a sort of antique/timeless look for this mani, so I started with a base of OPI My Vampire is Buff on all of my nails. I stamped the image of Marie using black polish and then filled in some of the image with white to give the appearance of an old black-and-white photo. On my thumb, index, and ring fingers, I stamped a geometric image from MoYou London Artist #17 and also filled part of it in with white. Sealed with a topcoat and done!
