Born Pretty Store Review: Succulents Galore!

*Provided for honest review*

Hey, everyone!

My first nail-related post after this long absence of mine will be focusing on one of the many products I need to review for Born Pretty Store. I've had this batch of items sitting aside on my desk for a VERY long time at this point, and I am so glad to finally have a chance to give you my thoughts on them! So keep reading for some awesome stuff!

These water decals can be found HERE for currently $1.99 per sheet (normally $3.59). Except do you know what's so great about this sheet of water decals? It's actually a MEGA sheet, comprised of 12 different sheets of water decals. There are 3 sheets of cactus, 3 sheets of succulents, and 6 sheets of miscellaneous floral designs. It's amazing! The styles vary from sheet to sheet, but are all very detailed and colorful.

As far as I could tell, all of the images have a white backing, meaning they are opaque over any color, which is always a plus when it comes to water decals! I just love the variety in all of these designs so much!

I did have some concerns when I first opened the package of review items, however. It appeared that the large sheet got badly crushed or wrinkled at some point during transit. I was afraid this would mean that the water decals themselves wouldn't lay nice and flat on my nail once I applied them.

Thankfully, this didn't seem to be the case, as I was able to apply the most visibly wrinkled decal from this particular sheet with no creasing whatsoever on my nail! I think that perhaps to avoid this in the future, it might help if the larger sheets like these were shipped with a hard cardboard backing, to help ensure that it doesn't get damaged during shipping.

Now, on to the nail design I actually did with some of these lovely water decals! I used sheet A1228 first, one of the all-cactus sheets, and chose a few different designs to apply over a nice brown base color.

I first applied two creamy coats of OPI Wooden Shoe Like To Know, a perfect chocolate brown shade with the subtlest hint of red shimmer to it. I waited until it was completely dry, then applied the cute little cactus decals using the normal water decal method. I topped everything with topcoat, as usual.

Apologies for the tip wear in some of these pics, but these were taken at some point during the moving process I mentioned in my last post. I especially liked how my thumb turned out. It looks like quite the cactus party!

It feels so good to be posting nail art again! I can't wait to catch up! Although I promise, besides reviews, you guys haven't missed anything special on my nails. I think I painted my nails about 3 times during the entire summer? Hence why they're so stubby and sad right now. Anyway, I highly recommend these water decals, which are the perfect size for long or short nails! If you're interested in purchasing them from Born Pretty Store, be sure and use my coupon code below for a discount on whatever you need! Thanks for stopping by!
